Iwan Thomas MBE

A Welsh wonder, Iwan Thomas is a British Athletics legend, winning a silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He also won gold medals at the World Championships, European Championships, and the Commonwealth games, and represented Great Britain at two Olympics.

Britain hasn’t produced a decent sprinter since him – he still holds the 400m record.

And if you think he may have lost it you’d be wrong! The walk from the office to Waterloo Station is 15 minutes - he made it in under 5 minutes in heavy snow!

Iwan has plenty of experience working on TV and radio, having appeared on BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Some of his most memorable moments on TV have been on shows like Total Wipeout and Eggheads. But the most memorable must surely be Strictly Come Dancing, where he came last!

Listen to Iwan Thomas on LOVE SPORT Radio on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
