Born and bred Londoner Alan Curbishley has managed and played at the top level. Playing for clubs like West Ham, Birmingham, Aston Villa and Charlton - he got in to the first team so fast he was nicknamed Whizz.
After retiring and going into management he went back to Charlton and become even more of a legend, reaching a club record high of 7th place in the Premier League. West Ham then got to sample the genius of Alan Curbishley, memorably keeping the club in the Premier League with the signings of Tevez and Mascherano and a last gasp win at Manchester United.
As well as on Love Sport Radio, Alan also regularly features on Sky Sports as a pundit.▶ on demand
