Transfer news is back to bring you all the Premier League gossip from Tuesday's papers, analysing the biggest stories so that you don’t have to.
Pogba wants to go ‘home’
Paul Pogba is ready to give up on Manchester United for a second time and return to Juventus, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Pogba first left United back in 2012 after his agent Mino Raiola appeared to fall out with then-manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The France international went on to make his name with Juventus and earned a move back to Old Trafford in a sensational £90million switch.
But now Italian newspapers have been talking up the possibility of Pogba returning to the country where he was so successful in light of a serious of disagreements with manager Jose Mourinho.
The report also mentions Pogba’s emotional connection with Juve, which he still refers to as ‘family’ - but also admits that fitting Cristiano Ronaldo and the talented midfielder into the same dressing room and starting XI could be tricky.
Love Sport verdict: Given Ed Woodward’s proclivities for a good marketing coup, selling Pogba looks like the antithesis of what he would want. The real answer might come next summer, when many expect Mourinho to leave. If the Portuguese is dismissed, that might encourage Pogba to stay.
Arsenal eye £18m release clause
Pablo Fornals has reportedly been identified as an ideal candidate to strengthen Arsenal’s midfield.
Fornals is currently on the books at Villarreal but The Sun claim he has a release clause of just £18million, something which has alerted the Gunners to a potential bargain.
The Spain international is said to be the kind of player Unai Emery believes could succeed in the Premier League.
With Aaron Ramsey set to leave the club on a free transfer, the Gunners will be in the market for central midfielder and are said to be planning to get rid of Mohamed Elneny as well to fund the Fornals bid.
Love Sport verdict: It's starting to feel like almost any player at a Spanish club outside the top three is being linked with Arsenal now that Unai Emery is in post. That forgets that Emery isn't in charge of transfers, even if he does have a say.
Chelsea and Liverpool to battle for Pulisic
The Mirror claim Christian Pulisic has decided to quit Borussia Dortmund and will head to the Premier League this summer.
Pulisic, 20, is rated around £70million and Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the forward, who joined Dortmund while Jurgen Klopp was still managing there.
Chelsea are also keen to sign the US international and Dortmund's sporting director Michael Zorc appears confident in keeping Pulisic in January at least.
"We have known these rumours for many years. We plan at least until the end of the season with him," Zorc said.
Love Sport verdict: Pulisic has been billed as the great hope of American 'soccer' for quite some time and is already a senior figure in that dressing room. He has also appeared more than 100 times in the Bundesliga and for a man of his age, few have so much experience.
