Transfer gossip is back to bring you all the Premier League rumours from Wednesday's papers, analysing the biggest stories so that you don’t have to.
City keep asking about Wan-Bissaka
Manchester City have made ‘a number of enquiries’ about Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, claims Daily Mirror reporter Adrian Kajumba.
Wan-Bissaka, 20, made an impressive start to the season at right back for Palace, having made his first-team debut back in February.
The attacking full-back’s form is said to have attracted the interest of a number of big clubs including the likes of Everton but City appear to be the first to have broken cover.
The right side of defence is already a crowded marketplace at the Etihad with Kyle Walker and Danilo both competing for the shirt - but Wan-Bissaka’s form as a 20-year-old has made City sit up and take notice.
Love Sport verdict: If nothing else, City would be getting one of the better football songs around because the Palace fans sing Wan-Bissaka’s name to the tune of The Clash's “Rock the Casbah”. But the youngster also, according to boss Roy Hodgson, appeared to “learn to swim” very quickly in the Premier League and that gradient of improvement is doubtless what is attracting City.

Loftus-Cheek move blocked
West Ham will not be allowed to loan Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January despite the desires of Manuel Pellegrini, according to Tony Banks of the Daily Express.
Loftus-Cheek, 22, has yet to start a Premier League game for Chelsea this season although he did score an impressive hat-trick in the Europa League against BATE Borisov.
The England international also scored from the bench against Burnley but has yet to break into Maurizio Sarri’s first-choice XI.
And now the Express claim West Ham had been hoping to offer him the chance to play more first-team football, only for Sarri himself to block such a move for Loftus-Cheek.
Love Sport verdict: You would understand if Loftus-Cheek were getting frustrated. He impressed for Crystal Palace on loan last year, was one of the stronger players in an England side that reached the World Cup semi-finals and is now in great goal-scoring form for Chelsea. And yet, Sarri still will not pick him. But perhaps this move to block his exit is a hint that the 22-year-old’s chances may yet be coming.
Welbeck could make £10m Arsenal exit
The Sun’s Mark Irwin today reports that Danny Welbeck has not been offered a new contract at Arsenal and they could cash in on him for £10million in January.
Welbeck has been at Arsenal since joining in 2014 from Manchester United but has been on the outskirts of Unai Emery's team so far this season.
Crystal Palace are woefully short of striking options with Christian Benteke out injured and have managed just six goals from open play in the Premier League.
Welbeck could represent a significant upgrade on their current crop and a suitable foil to Wilfried Zaha - but Arsenal could still offer the Englishman a new contract before the winter transfer window.
Love Sport verdict: Welbeck is, when he's fit, a manager's dream. He's fast, he's hard-working and he's versatile. If Emery wants a workhorse, he need look no further. But equally he would have a greater guarantee of game time at Palace.
Transfer targets in brief
