Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos asked for questions on Twitter using the hashtag #AskToni and users sent in questions in their droves.

The World Cup champion, 4x Champions League holder and multiple domestic trophy winner including league titles in Spain and Germany, revealed quite a few opinions which may have surprised a few.

When asked for the best German footballer - apart from himself - Kroos mentioned his legendary teammate who was a key part in the nation's run to the 2014 World Cup.

Asked by one Real Madrid fan how he thinks the season has gone, the German believes the crucial part is still to come.

Zinedine Zidane's men currently sit top of La Liga, three points ahead of rivals Barcelona and have an intriguing round of 16 tie against English champions Manchester City. Pep Guardiola will be aiming to defeat his old nemesis with his ties to Barcelona still strong.

Los Blancos have been serial winners in the Champions League in recent times having won the prestigious trophy four times in the past six seasons. Three of those four wins came in succession under Zidane who had Cristaino Ronaldo in his side at the time. Asked how it felt to lift the Champions League for three straight years, Kroos has fond memories.

With 25 trophies won across both club and currently, the 30-year-old maestro is not letting up in his pursuit for more.
