Manchester United fans were in disblief when ex-United player Ashley Young scored his first goal for new side Inter Milan at the weekend.

Manchester United fans took to social media to express their frustrations as Ashley Young scored his first goal for new club Inter Milan in their 2-1 away defeat to title-rivals Lazio.

Young reacted smartly to volley into the ground and over Thomas Strakosha after the goalkeeper could only parry Antonio Candreva’s fierce drive on the stroke of half-time.

But Inter were dealt a major blow in their pursuit of a first Serie A title since 2010 as second-half strikes from Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic meant Lazio leapfrogged their opponents into second, leaving the Nerazzurri two points behind Juventus in third.

After the game Young told Sky Sport Italia: "The point is that we lost the game and I’d have preferred to not score and win, but that’s how it went.

“Of course we’re still in it, there are plenty of games, plenty of points up for grabs and I’m sure we’ll get back to winning ways.”
