Former Crystal Palace man John Salako is delighted that Roy Hodgson is sticking around around getting a new one year deal.
Roy Hodgson has been a polarising figure at Selhurst Park in the last couple of seasons.
The veteran manager has provided solidity, stability, and consistent Premier League survival - but some fans are underwhelmed by the style of football on show.
Hodgson has signed a new one year contract extension, and the fans are split; some are encouraged at the idea of another season of safety - others are disappointed because they wanted a little more excitement.
But, speaking to the Posh Boys on Love Sport Drive, Crystal Palace legend John Salako said that Roy's new deal is fantastic news for the club.
"It's brilliant news. Roy has done an incredible job - took over from De Boer with the club in a dire situation, and he's taken over and stamped his authority.
"It's that pragmatism, that experience of having coached all around the world. It was right time, right place, right fit and he's man managed the team to great results!
"Remember at Palace, all we ask for is Premier League football - being in that magic circle playing against the big boys. And Roy has brought us that".
