Ex-Baggies striker Rob Earnshaw believes that Hal Robson-Kanu has all the abilities necessary to play in the topflight.

The Welsh international is in the form of his life having already surpassed his highest goals tally for a league season, scoring 10 so far to help West Brom climb to the top of the Championship.

At 30-years old he has hit his prime and will be looking to secure promotion with the Baggies who have opened up a four point gap on second-placed Leeds.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing though as Robson-Kanu has dealt with a number of sceptics who believed his best days are behind him, many of whom still believe he would not be able to do a job in the Premier League.

Earnshaw said: "I played with him a lot of times. I like him, he's a good player and he's got real good individual skills and it's good to see him doing well right now.

"I think it's the first time he's got double figures - 10 goals - I think in a season so it just shows that he's now progressing to be consistent.

"I'll be surprised if they [West Brom] don't go up because I think that they're strong enough and I think he's leading the way with that, especially with the goals and when he scored them because they've been winning goals. They've been goals that make a difference in their season so far.

"If they do go up I think he's more than good enough to compete at that level because he's got all the abilities."
