Twitter went wild last night celebrating Ianis Hagi's late winner last night, the son of legend Gheorghe Hagi
Ianis Hagi endeared himself to the Inbrox faithful last night with a dramatic late winner to keep the Scottish Premiership title race alive.
Rangers, who were held at home at the weekend against a stubborn Aberdeen team, looked set to once again rue missed opportunities.
Paul Hanlon's 35th minute strike put visitors Hibernian infront but George Edmundson managed to level the affair just before the break.
With 68% possession and clearly dominating proceedings, Steven Gerrard's men needed a late goal from debutant Ianis Hagi to secure all three points.
Heading into this fixture, Rangers found themselves 7 points behind league leaders Celtic and they could hardly afford to slip-up once more.
Celtic thrashed Motherwell 4-0 away last night so had Rangers drawn, the gap between them and their Old Firm rivals would have stretched to 9 points.
Hagi, son of Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi, is on loan from Belgian side Genk and had a debut he would not forget.
The 21-year-old was excited about his move to the Scottish outfit and tweeted his happiness about the move.

One user was contemplating which foot is Hagi's best, such was his quality using both.
Is Ianis Hagi stronger on his left foot or right foot? I don’t know. You don’t know. Nobody will ever know.— Jordan Campbell (@JordanC1107) February 5, 2020
