Overseeing 12 matches across all competitions, the Italian has five wins to his name and has consequently guided the Toffees up the league table, away from the relegation battle they had earlier seen themselves in at the start of the campaign.

The form of striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been another bright spark- 8 goals since Ancelotti's opening game against Burnley has many wondering whether the Englishman will be called up for Gareth Southgate's latest England squad.

A positive atmosphere has thus emerged around Goodison since the 60-year-old took charge, and things look to only be getting better with him in charge.

"You know, he's a top, top class manager. He's managed some of the biggest clubs in the world.

"So when he goes in, he brings a confidence to the squad that the manager knows what he's doing. He's a personable guy, as well, so the players can actually speak to him.

"And what I think he's definitely done is he's given the players confidence in their own game in what he's asking them to do, which is why they're probably the most form team of the league bar Liverpool I suppose, right now.

"So, Carlo Ancelotti, it's not rocket science to him. It's about winning the man first and that's what he's doing.
