Cristiano Ronaldo breaking records should not shock football fans but even at his age, having recently turned 35, he just can't stop breaking them.

We wrote last weekend that Cristiano Ronaldo had put himself in the Juventus record books and he has done so again following his strike against Hellas Verona.

Ronaldo, following his penalty against Fiorentina, meant he had scored in nine consecutive league games, a feat only matched by French legend David Trezeguet.

However his and Juventus' sole goal against Verona on Saturday has meant he has now broken the Juventus record. A tenth straight game scoring in Serie A had fans and former players praising the Portuguese forward for his new record.

Although Juventus went on to lose the game in what was a crucial blow in retaining the Scudetto, on a personal note Ronaldo made it 11 seasons where he has scored over 20 league goals. Simply incredible.

Since Messi won his sixth Ballon d'Or at the start of December 2019, Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in comparison to Lionel's 5 - no player has scored more goals in Europe's top 5 leagues since the Argentinian picked up the prestigious award again.

His stats had some fans voicing what a poor job Mauricio Sarri is doing considering he has a player who can't stop scoring.

Meanwhile others couldn't help but notice Juventus seemed to collapse following the introduction of ex-Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Old Lady now find themselves in second place in the league after Inter Milan defeated city rivals AC Milan in an enthralling 4-2 victory. Coming back from two-goals down, Antonio Conte's side are top on goal difference and will be eyeing a first title since the 2009/10 campaign.
