David Connolly

Starting out at Watford, David Connolly would go on to feature for 12 clubs in a 21-year professional career that took in stops at the likes of Feyenoord, Wimbledon, Sunderland and Southampton before retirement in 2015.

The former striker added a further 41 caps for the Republic of Ireland, the pinnacle of which was featuring at the 2002 World Cup, finding the net on nine occasions between 1996 and 2004.

Connolly will now be looking to score with listeners after transitioning from the football pitch to a punditry role with Love Sport.
